When Susan and I visited Italy, we really were taken with Pompeii. All over the place, there were these feral white dogs sleeping and walking around in the ruins. Apparently, they’re regular features of the place. We’ve always talked about how a cool band name would be: “Pompeii Dogs.”

The New York Citizens have a song titled “Shut up and Listen”; that’d be a good one for a band too though, sure. Glad to see I sparked some thought on this matter!

The other idea I have for a band name is “Shut Up and Listen.”

I just like the idea of the intro being “Ladies and gentlemen, Shut Up and Listen!”

In the same vein, would be a band named “Children of All Ages.”

My pet band name was “Pup, Tent, and the Winnebagos.”

Our first album was going to be called “Inside the Mayonnaise Jar.” Nowhere near and topical as yours.
