1. Wow! I hope it works out for everyone.
3. Yeah, we all have problems. Bike lust is not the worst of it.
4. We eat fish so technically not vegetarian but yeah, it's been a long time since any meat. To tell the truth, the only thing I ever miss is a good Genoa salami sandwich (and that's not too often).
5. The Nokian Extremes are for heavy duty ice. Studs won't help any in snow so if that's your bag, don't bother with them. Also, they are absolute beasts to ride around in under normal conditions. If you have fire roads or roads that are poorly plowed, the vehicular traffic creates those deep, icy ruts. Under those circumstances, the Extremes are the tires to get. Peter While sells them.

Perry:
1. I hope like hell I don't know anyone that got stuck in that shit; there's a damn good chance I do.
2. ;)
3. Yeah, I almost bought a bike on Craigslist a few months ago that would have been a disc-braked version of my current townie ride, but I had just bought a new road bike. Hmm... I sound like I have a problem.
4. Oh, it's good. You'll hear all about it. I had no idea you were veg, much less veg for so long! Ya learn something new every day.
5. I have not tried the studs, but I think they are so cool I may have to. I don't have a spare bike lying around for the sole purpose of being my "snow bike", but I may need one this winter if this keeps up!

Here are some thoughts:

1. Glad you didn't end up in/under/inside that avalanche!
2. That bike looks great with full fenders.
3. Disk brakes rule in snowy conditions (mud too).
4. I stopped eating meat like 12 years ago so now all I have to look forward is cold cut reviews. Get busy! :-)
5. I don't know if you have icy conditions out there but if you do, have you tried studded tires? It's nice to have one bike outfitted with Nokian Extremes for the icy months. Those things will change you attitude about riding on ice.
