Haha! It gets harder and harder to care about these guys, it really does. And honestly, I barely pay attention to baseball anymore. But it's still a great game, and of course the Yankees made it more than just a game -- it was sort of a way to re-connect with my roots last night.

What is this baseball that you speak of? I remember a game that may have been something like it, but then there was some sort of labour dispute, and I lost track of it. . .

Thanks Perry. The birthday was actually back in April, so this was one of those delayed birthday gifts. And yeah, Brenda paid a hefty sum for the tix, but by last week, seats in that area were selling for $900 a piece.

It's funny, the rest of the season you can't find a baseball fan anywhere in the state. Hell, the MLB box scores come AFTER the high school sports in the paper. A typical Rockies game features a 2/3 empty stadium and the rest of the seats are filled with the most part with overly-polite and uninterested "fans", who leave as early as the sixth inning, but when the Yankees come to town it's chaos.

Oh also, people were booing Derek Jeter. Jeter! Who boos Derek Jeter? I can see A-Rod, but Jeter? It's like booing Ghandi. So they can't even get the whole antagonization thing right. I may have to start going to more games to teach Coloradans how it's done.

First of all, Happy Birthday! Those look like nice seats. Good job, Brenda! I heard that the ticket prices went up something like 70+% and parking fees doubled (or more) because the Yankees are a hot ticket. Sorry the Yanks lost though.
