Briefly…

OK, I know it’s been a while. Here is what’s on my mind:

  • When you own a dog, you clean more than ever, and yet your place is generally messier.

  • It’s snowing on the high peaks. Winter is just about here. While I like the look of the mountains with the snow on them, I’m dreading the thought of a winter like we had last year here in Boulder.

  • The Colorado Rockies (baseball club) are absolutely tearing it up, and they remind me of the Phillies of 1993, another team of lower-paid gamers who ended up playing like a team instead of a collection of overpaid egos. I’ll be rooting for a National League team this year in the World Series.

  • Speaking of baseball, I would love to see the Red Sox fold like the bunch of pussies that they are. They should already be declared the losers of the ALCS simply for Manny Ramirez’s bullshit posturing when he hit that home run last night. Sorry, I just fucking hate that guy. Actually, I’m not sorry. He is a douchebag.

  • Speaking of baseball, who’s idea was it to have Dane Cook do ads for major league baseball!? I truly believe I’d rather watch Carrot Top try and generate enthusiasm for the game than this no-talent ass wipe.

  • I got a new camera; just wait ‘till you see the incredible pictures.

  • I saw my sister and my brother-in-law.

  • Things are generally good.

What’s up with the Rockies?

Sorry, can’t root for them lest I be all raptured-like. It’s going to be a bad world series for me. I hate Boston and the thought of Indians/Rockies could turn into a late night snoozefest.

What camera did you get?

Glad you guys are doing OK.

Good to have you back RG!
Go Rockies!

Hi Perry. Yeah, this whole state is pretty over the top with the scary religion, Boulder being the exception (thank god! (irony intended!)). So it’s no surprise that the local baseball team thanks him-with-a-capital-H for the streak. Silly.

I rooted for the NL when I lived in Philly too, and I survived. Boston and Cleveland are two teams that make it easy to sin like this.

I got a Nikon D40. Semi-long story about how this came about. I should write about it…

Hey Rob, you might just get your wish:

As your beloved Yankees folded like a damp newspaper, you can have the Colorado Happy Clappers against the Cleveland Indians… for a major snoozefest in the inappropriately named “World Series”!

Cheers ;-)

A team’s first World Series is never a snoozer. At least, if that team is your current local team. So yes, I’m looking forward to it! And your beloved Red Sox are looking pretty sorry, which is, like, awesome. =8-)

hehe. “like, awesome”. LOL.

totally.

I’ll just wait and see how the Red Sox play tonight. If they win, then good, if not, then so be it…

I am much more interested in South Africa winning the Rugby World Cup against England on Saturday… this tournament only happens once every 4 years and I’ve heard estimated of approximately 4 billion people expected to watch on Saturday – that’s 40 times bigger than the SuperBowl with no commercial breaks! ;-)

Funny how most people in the USA have never heard of it!

Crikes. As a Rockies fan, and yes, a religious person (yes I swear! Rob can attest!), all I can say is CALM DOWN EAST COAST. Whichever team wins the WS (and if the Yankees won—somehow that would make it a World Series more legitimate?) I love me some baseball and will enjoy what happens. My semi-father-in-law (see? Red Staters have shades of grey!) is a life-long Red Sox fan (sorry, Rob) and yet somehow—we will find a way to talk post-World-Series. Go figure. No, YOU go figure. Okay, you’re Rob’s friends. I stand down and say, hey, nice guy. Despite being from NJ and a Yankees fan.
