Bush was pretty unpopular in 2004 and she still got reelected. In some sick way, I think many conservaives are feeling like "ok, well we were wrong, Bush really does suck, and he sucked even more in his second term, but here's McCain, he's gonna fix it!" Scary. And we have a long way to go to the election, and anyone can say anything or have associated with someone that can get plucked and transmitted all over and commented on, so it's still anyone's race. This is why I have no idea about this coming election. I sometimes think, you know, no way people are going to look at these two guys side-by-side and pull the lever for McCain.
