Hooper's resume is growing exponentially. Basketballs, kids, pulling you on a longboard....I won't be surprised when he wins the Iditarod.

Good boy Hooper.

Aw, thanks Michelle! I fell in love with Hooper from a picture in the shelter website, too. The whole story is here:

Hooper is the second dog that I have fallen in love with over the internet. The first time was when I saw a picture of my girl Lab/mix? Star... I came across a blurry photo of her from an animal shelter website and it was like a psychic connection. I immediately knew that she would be the dog for me. The picture was of her at 6 weeks old - running, and bouncing after a ball.

My husband Rich and I drove 3 hours to Delaware from Philadelphia to pick her up. She quivered, whimpered and shook the whole ride home. I wondered if we would really hit it off. My fear were put to rest once she saw my backyard. It took her less than one minute to find my basketball.

Since that day, Star and her English Cocker Spaniel brother Ringo have been playing soccer with that same basketball day after day. She has punctured the skin and will sometimes squeeze it between her teeth so that she can carry it to my feet. She asks me with eyes to please be the goalie so she show off her skills.

I wish Hooper and Star could have a soccer match. Just like Hooper, she loves to play, especially with children and the elderly. She has an uncanny instinct to find those who need some affection and she has so much love to give.

Ringo on the other hand is spaz but Star is working on that.
